ABOUT ABOUT

West Philly thinks it’s the best Philly. It was the city’s first sub-urban development in the 19th century made possible through the expansion of the electric trolley car system connecting it with center city. Join tour guide Jim Mundy for a walk through a variety of neighborhoods that represent some of the most diverse domestic and institutional architecture in the city. Start at The Woodlands, the first gentleman’s country estate with the prototype Federal mansion in America and end at Calvary Methodist Church with its wonderful Tiffany glass windows.

Join the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia for the debut of this brand new tour.

Tour runs rain or shine. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before departure time.
